Want to spend a few hours outside of your flat? Adam Street Gardens’ communal areas provide the perfect spot for unwinding and relaxing with your fellow students. If you’re feeling active, play a game of foosball or head along to the on-site gym that is free to use whenever you feel like it.

Leave your accommodation behind for an afternoon and you can be in the city centre in just 10 minutes. Here, you’ll find a huge range of shops, restaurants and bars. Nearby, the Motorpoint Arena hosts live performances from some of the world’s biggest acts, while Bute Park, just 20 minutes away by foot, offers a green oasis in a city centre location.

Adam Street Gardens is located in the city centre of Cardiff next to the hustle and bustle of nightlife and entertainment. You will be spoilt for choice when is comes to bars, pubs, clubs and restaurants when you stay at this accommodation.

When it comes to nightlife, the Welsh certainly know how to party, and a short walking distance from the accommodation you will find superb range of bars and clubs.

Mill Lane is on the doorstep of Adam Street Gardens, and is home to a range of up market cocktail bars, such as; Kapu, Peppermint, and Mocka – all less than 5 minutes walk away. Theses bars are the perfect place to relax in summer months as they feature outside seating and 241 cocktail deals.

Just across from Mill Lane you will find St Mary’s Street which has a diverse range of student bars, all offering massive deals you won’t be able to turn down. The Australian club and bar Walkabout, Maddison’s, and The Brewhouse are just a few of the places you may find here.

Additionally Greyfriars road is full of some of the best nightclubs in Cardiff, including; Glam, Tiger Tiger, and Pryzm. These are all within ten minutes walking distance from Adam Street Gardens and are open nearly every night of the week.

If you fancy eating out, or aren’t in the mood to cook, there are a wide selection of restaurants at your fingertips when you stay the Liberty Garden’s accommodation. Mill Lane is a 5 minute walk away and is home to some national chain favourites, including; Bills, Gourmet Burger Kitchen, Wagamama’s, Ask and Las iguanas.

If you are after a quick lunch, you’ll need to visit Cardiff’s very own Magic Wrap for a delicious filled toasted wrap or New York Deli for scrumptious bagels – 10 minutes walk from the accommodation.

Alternatively, Cardiff Student Union is a 15 minute walk from Adam Street Gardens and offers a range of nights to suit everyone’s taste and budget. One night held each month is Treatment, Cardiff’s answer to The Warehouse Project where a range of famous and local DJ’s have performed. Acts which have visited include Disclosure, Annie Mac, Second City, Gorgon City, Eats Everything plus literally hundreds more. You’ll never be bored in Cardiff!

Adam Street Gardens is located on Adam Street, in the centre of Cardiff and within walking distance to the cities higher educational establishments. The residence is best suited for students studying at The University of South Wales and Cardiff Sixth Form College, but can also accommodate students from Cardiff Universityand The Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama.

The University of South Wales is a few minutes walk from Adam Street Gardens accommodation, and the residence is close to a wide range of things to see and do around the City.

If you like movies, then a visit to Cineworld would be perfect; to catch up on all the latest blockbusters. The multiplex cinema is a 5 minute walk away and even does student discount!

For the shopaholic, visit St David’s Shopping Centre – 5 minutes walk away. There are 120 branded shops to indulge in, perfect for some retail therapy. Of course if you are looking for some independent shops, take a trip down on of Cardiff’s many arcades where you will find some little gems!

There is plenty of history to see in Cardiff, close to the residence is Cardiff Castle and Bute Park; the perfect location to relax and have a picnic in the summer months whilst appreciating Cardiff Castle itself. Cardiff’s National Museum and Art Gallery is a 10 minute walk away, displaying some of the finest art collections from over 500 years ago and the natural history of Wales.

To see some of your favourite acts live, you’ll want to visit The Motorpoint Arena, a few seconds away from Adam Street Gardens. The venue has hosts some pretty famous acts over the years, including; comedians, singers, bands and shows so keep an eye out for your favourites!

Cardiff Bay is a 5 minute train journey from Cardiff Queen Street train station, where there are plenty of things to see and do. The Doctor Who Experience can be found here; the tour sends you to various film locations around the City and is reasonably priced. Cardiff Bay offers boat trips to and from the city centre, where you can see the Wales Millennium Centre. Plus, there are plenty of bars and restaurants to enjoy.

If you like to keep fit, there are a variety of fitness centres nearby which offer affordable membership with first class equipment. The closest gym to Adam Street Gardens is Pure Gym; located on Wood Street less than a 10 minute walk from Adam Street Gardens. Pure Gym offers extremely well priced membership, and also throws in free classes – you can’t complain at that!

If you like water sports, why not visit Cardiff Bay’s international sports village, which offers an indoor Olympic pool, white water rafting and an ice rink – just a 5 minute train ride from Queen Street Station.

Living at Adam Street Gardens means you will be close to the Principality Stadium, home to the Welsh Rugby team. Our student accommodation is also near Cardiff Arm’s Park – the Cardiff Blues Rugby team. If you get a chance to see a game at either of these stadiums you won’t be disappointed - the atmosphere is electric on match days.

Football fans won’t feel left out, either. Cardiff City FC, affectionately known as the Cardiff Bluebirds, play at the Cardiff City Stadium, and it’s very close to your student accommodation at Liberty Bridge. In fact, you can walk it in just over half an hour, or alternatively travel by car in less than ten minutes.

Adam Street Gardens is nestled within the city centre of Cardiff and within walking distance to a range of transport links, so getting in and out of the city can be done easily.

Cardiff Central station is the main train station located a 5 minute walk away, and provides a direct link to other major cities around the UK. You can be in Bristol within 50 minutes, London and Birmingham in 2 hours and Swansea in 1. Additionally, Queen Street train station is on the doorstep of Adam Street Gardens for local services to Cardiff Bay and other Welsh towns.

Next to the train station you will find Cardiff’s bus station, where you jump on a bus to any area of Cardiff for less than £2 per single. Furthermore, Cardiff is on the Megabus route and stops near Liberty Bridge, so if you fancy visiting a friend or popping home for the weekend, you can do so and all for a reasonable fare.

For those that live outside the UK, Cardiff International Airport is located just outside the city centre and can be easily reached by bus or train within 30 minutes.

Adam Street Gardens benefits from a great central location, which offers students a large range of local amenities, conveniently right on your doorstep.

There is a large range of small supermarkets located within the city centre which include; Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Mark’s and Spencer, and Waitrose. For a larger selection there is an Asda, Morrison’s and Tesco supermarket located in Cardiff Bay – a 5 minute taxi ride away.

The city centre is also home to hundreds of high street shops, and St David’s an indoor shopping mall. You can enjoy around 120 big brand names, so there’s always an excuse to pop in for a browse. Here you will also find a good selection of high street banks and bureau de change services, the majority of these can be found on Queen Street and St Mary’s Street.

For some quiet study time, the University of South Wales Library is located less than a 5 minute walk from Adam Street Gardens. Here you will find all the necessary resources needed to get through your studies. Alternatively, you can visit Cardiff City Library; just a 5 minute walk from Liberty Garden accommodation. The library contains 90,000 books and 10,000 CD and DVD’s, so you will defiantly find what you are looking for here.

You will be able to receive free confidential advice regarding finances, careers and general welfare when studying at any of Cardiff’s universities. Adam Street Gardens is located close to campus so you will never be too far from the help you may need.

Students of Adam Street Gardens are encouraged to sign up with City Surgery, located on City Road, around a 15 minute walk from the residence.

For any emergencies, the University Hospital of Wales is a 10 minute taxi ride from the residence should you need any urgent medical assistance.
